It has not been a short period of stress.
It has been going on for seven long years and always
the fear that Gary will be snatched away and imprisoned
4000miles away, has hovered close by.
Janis is a woman to be admired and a woman I would
wish to emulate if, God forbid, such trials ever befell me.
Janis is so strong, so focused, so passionate. Everything she does,
she does fighting to save her son. She will never give up.
She is the Lioness protecting her cub and how proud Gary must be of his mum!
Just this week, Gary and Janis were hammered with yet another blow when their request to be heard at the newly formed Supreme Court (Supreme Court? I thought that was in Washington, DC!) was turned down and Gary is once again tottering on the brink of extradition to the US and up to 70 years imprisonment there.
Anyone watching the tv news reports that night will have felt the pain and horror Janis was feeling. She looked exhausted, devastated but so angry – while a solitary tear on her cheek gave away her fears. We cried with her feeling totally impotent.
Janis has said she will fight on for Justice until Justice finds Gary. And we will fight alongside her.
